Rupert on Rupert, is the perfect venue for our business, Tomorrow Funerals, to host memorial events for our clients.
A recent and much loved member of the community, who lost her life way too young was celebrated here. Holding her memorial at Rupert on Rupert, meant we were able to give her a fabulous ‘send off’ in her own unique style. It felt personal and meaningful and our clients were so grateful we suggested the venue.
The team at Rupert are the best in the business. They consistently go over and over and above to look after their guests. From the warm welcome they bestow, to the food, drinks and incredible interior styling. Thanks Rupert for the amazing space you have created.

Emma Bathgate did not throw the bath out with the baby, instead gave rebirth to The Dilapidated Diva on Wednesday evening of last week. What a brilliant combo of cocktails and entertainment mid week. Not just run-of-the-mill entertainment but a hearty, sassy, witty and hilarious one hour show that had everyone in the room laughing from their bellies and loving the brilliance of Emma’s voice and her brilliant pianist Justin. Im so glad the Diva is back. Melbourne needs her. Thanks to R on R for great service, warm atmosphere, big plants and sexy oysters.

Please pass on our thanks to your chef, the food was brilliant and our guests were all very satisfied and would not stop commenting on the food. Thank you to you and the team for the beautiful venue set up and presentation. The team were amazing and so polite and many thanks to Spencer as well. There really are no limitations placed on the excuse to celebrate a private event at Rupert! Baptisms, engagement parties,significant birthdays, bah mitzvahs and bat mitzvahs, tea ceremonies, retirement parties, wakes and life celebrations, funerals, and of course weddings are all reason enough to party at Rupert.
We are licensed to host a maximum of 200 guests. There is no real minimum number of guests as much as a minimum spend that is required to book the venue exclusively, and this varies depending on the day and time of year. We can chat about costings in detail once we get more of a sense of your vision and budget.
We think our venue is pretty perfect just as it is, full to the brim with its vintage charm and ever evolving indoor garden. If you are wanting to enhance the existing space to further personalise your event, we can certainly put you in touch with a wealth of great folk that specialise in beautiful styling. We also provide a level of practical and friendly support that for the most part removes the need to employ an external planner. Save your money for the cocktails!
